WSW Newsletter
As part of our mission, WSW introduces visual arts to people throughout our community, encouraging them to learn about, get involved with, and support the arts. We have produced major public arts projects including: Flying Objects, a public kite flying festival of artist-made sculptures and performance art; Flashlight, a celebration of light featuring giant silver mylar snowflakes decorated with lights, an accompanying parade and town-wide party; and Pumba, a life-size cement sculpture of a rhinoceros in permanent installment at the Rosedale Recreation Center. Pumba originally housed a "fire in the belly" kiln, which fired a series of ceramic tiles that youth center participants included in a mural about historic Rosendale.

Ongoing programs that support our regional community include our Art-in-Education program, working with Kingston School District students, and our ArtFarm, a small farm used to grow vegetables for our pot-luck lunches and papermaking plants for our papermaking studio.

WSW also offers community ceramics classes each season.
