Beth Waterbury
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Mary Beth Waterbury received her BA in Art
History from Drew University in 2005. After graduation, she worked as a
Studio Assistant at The Painted Pot, a community clay studio in Brooklyn, and
also led a series of Children’s Clay Workshops. Mary Beth spent the
months of January and February making bowls and tumblers as the 2007 Chili Bowl
Intern. After the internship, she will be handbuilding ceramics with students
at Edson Elementary in Kingston, NY through the West African Cultural Residency. Mary
Beth’s primary goal right now is to keep deepening her knowledge of clay
and making lots of pots! She has a wonderful little dog named Georgia whom
she loves very much.
