WSW has been making quality handmade papers since 1979.
Our bright and sunny first-floor studios are designed
for sheet forming processes, low relief, and three-dimensional
work. In 1999, WSW began the
ArtFarm program, in which we grow our own fibers
especially for hand papermaking. The ArtFarm project
has now tested over 100 native plants for their fiber
strength, coloring capacities, print worthiness, and
translucency. The ArtFarm project is managed by our
studio manager. WSW's beautiful, tactile, unique handmade
papers and varying fibers can be purchased
on-line.
Artists are welcome to work in the papermaking studio
in a number of ways—the Summer
Arts Institute, our grants
programs, or by renting the studio.
