C.R. Cooper

C.R. Cooper is a Chicago native and studied studio art and writing at the University of Iowa. She lived in Iowa City for the past 5 years taking shape as a maker through experimentation in printmaking, book arts, sculpture, teaching, curation, and engaging her local art communities (shout to Public Space One and the ICPressCoop!!!).  She spends her free time reading and embroidering pieces of trash.

While an intern, C.R. took to the silkscreen and papermaking studios to revive discarded trash that she collected in Iowa City and New York City. The work she made ranged from object to installation to performance and was often found around the office.
