Susan Amons

Susan Amons comes regularly to WSW from Biddeford, Maine, to work on large-scale monoprints. She has a highly refined technique, using mylar that is both shaped and incised.

Susan’s work is included in public collections of the Portland Museum of Art, Portland, ME, Farnsworth Art Museum, Rockland, ME, The New York Public Library, Boston Public Library, University of New England, Colby College Museum of Art, Indiana University, Bowdoin College Museum of Art, Olin Art Museum, Bates College and the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, NJ. Recent exhibitions include Monmouth University, NJ, Courthouse Gallery, Ellsworth, ME, Mast Cove Gallery, Kennebunkport, ME, Liriodendron Mansion, Bel Air, MD, University of New England Gallery, Portland, ME, and Cheryl Pelavin Gallery, NY, NY.

Susan’s work was written about in 2016 in Downeast’s Best of Maine July issue.
