Alison Byrnes

Alison Byrnes is an artist, art educator, and higher ed administrator, whose work centers around the construction of history. She taught at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Bangalore, India for seven years, developing programs in illustration, museum studies, and contemporary art practices in addition to guiding students through thesis projects. She created Scientific Theories Once Widely Believed, Since Proven Wrong at WSW, requiring an estimated 20,000 squeegee pulls in 5 weeks. She currently works at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at the International Institute at the University of Michigan.
