Ann Marie Kennedy

Ann Marie Kennedy is an installation artist and papermaker living in Raleigh, NC. She is an Associate Professor at Wake Technical Community College and a member of Bonded Llama Artists’ Studios. She has taught workshops in hand papermaking in MA and at WSW. She has been a resident artist at Penland School of Crafts, NC and Headlands Center for the Arts, CA and received a Visual Artists’ Fellowship from the North Carolina Arts Council for 2004-2005. Exhibitions include Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MN), Gregg Museum at NC State University (NC), Artspace (NC), Lillistreet Gallery (IL), Asheville Art Museum (NC) and Waterworks Visual Art Center (NC). She has produced Plant Dreams, an artist’s book published by Women’s Studio Workshop, and was part of Hand Papermaking’s Fiber Exposed Portfolio. Ann Marie received her MFA in Intermedia/Sculpture from the University of Iowa, where she worked and studied with Timothy Barrett at the UI Center for the Book. annmariekennedy.net.
