
Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Katherine Spinella received her B.F.A
in Printmaking from Central Michigan University in 2008. Since then she has
been to Women’s Studio Workshop as a fellow in etching and received
a residency grant to attend Vermont Studio Center in April 2009. In the summers
of 2007 & 2009 she worked for Interlochen Center for the Arts in both
printmaking and fibers.
Katherine has participated in numerous juried exhibitions
both nationally and internationally. She has recently exhibited at The
Saginaw Art Museum in Saginaw, MI and is currently applying for graduate school
to receive her M.F.A.
Katherine is currently
working on an installation in her Women’s Studio Workshop apartment
that consists of paper cast objects. In addition she is fiddling with fabrics
and intaglio in the print shop.
