The
Women's Studio Workshop is pleased to offer Successful
Writing for Artists: Workshop and Individual Consultations,
March 10, 2011, a program sponsored by the New
York Foundation for the Arts, established to offer artists information and insight regarding the best practices for a successful professional career.
Authentic communication about
ones' artwork is a powerful tool for creative growth as well as for business success. The effectiveness of a strong artist statement stems from the authority with which it is written, but often artists are completely at a loss when it comes to writing about their work. Through intensive writing exercises and one-on-one consultations, this evening will demystify the process, and give participants the ingredients needed to compose an artist statement that is a moving testament to their creativity.
Please bring your existing
artist's statement, if you have one.
