WSW’s 10th Annual Gala & Auction

Join WSW for our 10th Annual Gala & Auction, to be held at Kingston’s new art and event space, the Senate Garage, on Sunday, May 21, 2017, 3-7 pm.

This celebratory afternoon at the elegant and contemporary Senate Garage will include cocktails and gourmet hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, live auction led by Steven Andersen, and much more. This year, we are excited to celebrate Ann Kalmbach and Robert “Woody” Woodruff.

Meet the Honorees

Ann Kalmbach

As one of WSW’s co-founders and its Executive Director for 43 years, we celebrate Ann’s lifelong dedication to preserving the arts and upholding the work of women artists around the world. We honor Ann’s unwavering commitment on the occasion of her retirement from WSW.

“I always thought of the Workshop as church work. It’s a safe place. It’s a voice and a community,” says Ann. “If I’m proud of anything, it’s the sense that for some artists, the experience here has been life-changing.” Head to our blog to read more about Ann and her vision in Daydream Believer: Ann Kalmbach at Retirement

Robert “Woody” Woodruff

We also recognize all of the work that Woody, a man who encompasses many titles for WSW, has done in his 40 years with us. His invaluable handiwork has allowed WSW to serve thousands of artists by supporting—and in many cases, building—the very foundation of our work.

“I’ll do anything for anybody’s art. Anything. Anything… within reason.” Get to know Woody and the many WSW projects he has been a part of during his tenure in On Robert “Woody” Woodruff, Zen, and the Art of Problem Solving.

Online ticket sales are closed, but if you would like to join us in celebrating these individuals, you can purchase tickets at the door.

If you cannot attend but would like to support the gala, you may donate to the Ann Kalmbach Scholarship!
